WinChart has been tailored specifically for Statistical Process Control. WinChart can also diagnose your control charts, looking for special cause variation: consecutive points above/below mean line and points out of control.

WinChart can produce:

• Control charts for different types of data
• Single Measurements (XmR) Charts (with Moving Ranges)
• Subgroup (X-bar R) Charts
• Defects Charts for fixed or variable intervals (c-, u- Charts)
• Defectives Charts for fixed or variable intervals (np-, p- Charts)

WinChart can not only import data from Excel*/Lotus 123*/Access databases other formats can usually be supported as well on request — but also check automatically if more data has been added! (Other formatting can also be read.)

Print up to 16 charts on a single sheet of paper! If there are a large number of points then the chart can be displayed in two or more sections for easier viewing without affecting the statistical calculations (e.g. If you had 300 points then the chart could be displayed in 3 parts with 100 points in each). In WinChart all the calculations are based on Dr Shewhart’s original principles – unlike some SPC software!

WinChart Pro has been tailored specifically for Statistical Process Control, with all the features of WinChart Standard plus the more advanced features e.g. zigzagging, trends, etc.

The additional features in the Professional version, are generally only intended for use by those who know Statistical Process Control well and who will not be tempted to “misinterpret” or “misuse” them!

WinChart Pro also has these additional control charts or features:

1. Trend limits for either Single Measurement or Subgroup Charts
2. Standard Deviations Chart (for subgroup data)
3. CuSum (Cumulative Sum) Charts

WinChart Pro can draw a histogram of the control chart — with the option to superimpose a normal curve on it and perform a statistical test for normality (for Subgroup Charts you can draw a histogram of the data as well) Capability indices (Cp, Cpk, Z-Factor, and percentage out of tolerance) can be calculated for Single Measurement and Subgroup Charts, with the tolerances being changed at any time.

A Scatter Plot can be drawn for two data sets, and the graphs of multiple data sets can be superimposed upon each other for comparison.

User defined Reference Lines can be shown on the chart for your own use.

WinChart Performance Dashboard

Performance insight is one thing.

The Performance Dashboard is a vital ingredient of
THE leading edge performance insight, communication
and improvement method.

The Performance Dashboard allows you to keep an eye on all your performance measures, some of which are aggregates of many performance measures.

Instead of reviewing a mountain of performance data each month to view the status at a snapshot, The Performance Dashboard allows you to gain an insight into the longer term view with control limits (using control charts) to aid the decision process.

The Performance Dashboard can display performance measures either in a circular format (see picture) or in a tiled format, grouped into a maximum of 6 business objective groups, on one screen.

Each dial indicates the latest value in a performance measure, with the grey zone denoting the area of the control limits. This means the process is in control if the arrow falls within the grey zone.

Below the dial there are 8 (or more) triangles representing the status of the 8 most recent values in the performance measure. Any triangles with solid red or green colour represent values below or above the control limits respectively; while any triangle with just red or green outline represent values below or above the mean, but still within the control limit.

The Performance Dashboard is fully integrated with WinChart, and clicking on the dial will open up the corresponding control chart in WinChart.
